Many Standard Features

The upper trims of previous CX-3 model years have been eliminated, leaving just the Sport trim (with either a FWD or AWD drivetrain). However, this doesn’t mean that the CX-3 is a barebones vehicle. Far from it. The 2020 CX-3 has more standard features than any other CX-3 model before it, as it inherited a lot of the features of upper trims. The CX-3 now has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, automatic high-beams, adaptive headlights, a heads-up display, blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning, and automatic emergency braking. Even with all those features, the 2020 CX-3 starts at $21,740 for the FWD model and $23,140 for the AWD version.

Mechanical Specs

The 2020 CX-3 is powered by the efficient 2.0-liter Skyactiv-G four-cylinder engine. It produces 148 horsepower and 146 lb-ft of torque. The CX-3 has the buttery-smooth six-speed automatic transmission that many other Mazda models also employ. Both of those things work in tandem to help the FWD models get 29-city/34-hwy mpg. The AWD models are just as impressive, measuring in at 27-city/32-hwy mpg. And, of course, the CX-3 has the legendary Mazda handling abilities.
