Every 2020 Mazda CX-30, no matter the trim, comes with a 2.5-liter Skyactiv-G four-cylinder engine. It pumps out a 186 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired with the signature Mazda six-speed automatic for silky smooth upshifts and responsive downshifts. FWD is standard, but AWD is available every trim. Fuel economy varies between the FWD and AWD variants. The FWD models are EPA-estimated at 25-city/33-highway MPG. AWD models are just as good, getting 24-city/31-highway MPG.

Standard features on the 2020 CX-30 Base include an 8.8-inch infotainment system display, HD Radio, Bluetooth capability, two USB ports, and voice recognition. On the Select trim, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, proximity keyless entry, synthetic leather upholstery, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob are added. The Preferred trim gets a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system, satellite radio, and heated front seats. The top-tier Premium adds a head-sup display, a power liftgate, a moonroof, leather upholstery and paddle shifters.

Safety Features

The 2020 CX-30 has a comprehensive suite of safety features that includes forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, low-speed automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning with lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control. But that’s not all, automatic high beams, driver attention monitoring, automatic rain-sensing wipers, and a rearview camera are all standard too.
