Differences Between the 2019 CX-3 and 2018 CX-3

The interior of the CX-3 has some pleasing changes as well, with a liberal use of high-quality materials and greater refinement. One of the biggest changes for the 2019 CX-3 is the switch to an electric parking brake, which freed up space in the center console, with increased storage and an integrated armrest. In the rear seats, there is now a center armrest with built-in cup holders. Also, the 2019 CX-3 has better sound insulation materials, resulting in a quieter ride.

On the performance front, Mazda tweaked the SKYACTIV®-G 2.0-liter engine in the 2019 CX-3, resulting in a slight boost in performance and efficiency, with an output of 148 horsepower, compared to 146 horsepower for the outgoing model. Both the 2019 and 2018 CX-3 models come standard with the SKYACTIV®-DRIVE six-speed automatic transmission while offering the choice of either front-wheel drive or the available i-ACTIV All-Wheel Drive® system.
