The 2021 Mazda CX-9, regardless of trim, has a 2.5-liter Skyactiv-G turbo-four. With regular fuel, it produces 227 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. Premium fuel boosts performance significantly, pumping out 250 horses and 320 lb-ft of torque. FWD is standard on the Sport, Touring, Carbon Edition, and Grand Touring trims. AWD is standard on the Signature trim and available on all others. FWD models get 22-city/28-highway mpg, while AWD models get 20-city/26-highway mpg.

Connectivity Tech

Every 2021 CX-9 now comes with an upgraded 10.3-inch touchscreen to control the Mazda Connect infotainment system, as well as Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Bluetooth compatibility, an integrated Wi-Fi hotspot, and two USB ports (one input, one charging only).
