Fun to Drive

On top of its turbocharged performance, the CX-5 is a Mazda vehicle, and inherits the signature handling prowess that Mazda models are known for. It dominates corner like a sports car, despite its tall stature. Steering is pleasantly weighty, too, with lots of good feedback and road feel. The 2021 Tucson pales in comparison. Part of the problem for the Tucson is its engine, but the floaty steering and average handling don’t help much.
